The Warehouse Associate, 2nd Shift position at Cardinal Health's Boylston, MA facility offers a dynamic entry into the healthcare logistics sector. Working Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (until finish, with required overtime), you'll earn $23.26 per hour inclusive of shift differential. This full-time role involves assisting with outbound activities, receiving inbound products, and shipping to customers while meeting rigorous quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. In this role, you'll follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders efficiently. Core duties include accurately picking large case items using material handling equipment or small units placed on carts, performing quality control checks, sorting and consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing shipments. You'll utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for check-ins and outs, drive equipment like order pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders. Additional tasks encompass housekeeping, inventory control, maintaining a clean and safe environment, problem resolution on routine assignments, participating in associate meetings, and adhering to OSHA standards and company policies.
Cardinal Health seeks candidates who can frequently lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, stoop, and stand for entire shifts while comfortable working at heights of 20-30 feet. A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is preferred, along with prior material handling equipment (PIT) experience, RF scanner/voice-to-pick proficiency. Must be available for overtime with little notice, follow directions, adapt to priority changes, thrive in fast-paced settings meeting performance standards, and possess good verbal/written communication. Willingness to learn equipment operation, rotate warehouse areas, and wear PPE like steel-toed shoes and safety harnesses is essential.
