Role Overview

The Warehouse Associate, 2nd Shift position in Buford, GA offers a dynamic entry into healthcare logistics. Key Responsibilities

In this hands-on role, you'll contribute to the efficient flow of healthcare products from receipt to shipment. Warehouse Operations at Cardinal Health manages receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping to meet precise service parameters for internal and external customers.

• Cross-train across Inbound, ValueLink, and Outbound functions for operational flexibility.
• Receive large boxes on the dock, scan products with RF scanners, and enter data into warehouse management systems.
• Break down cases and use heavy equipment like forklifts and order pickers to replenish inventory.
• Employ voice-to-pick technology to select large case items or small units, placing them on carts accurately.
• Palletize large items, wrap skids securely, and pack small items into boxes for shipment.
• Operate diverse material handling equipment including order pickers (cherry pickers), forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek reliable team players with a strong work ethic and physical stamina. This role demands consistent performance in a high-volume distribution center.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; 1-2 years related experience strongly preferred.
• Previous material handling, RF scanner, or voice-to-pick experience highly desired.
• Must lift 50 lbs consistently; bend, reach, stoop, stand for 8+ hour shifts.
• Work at heights up to 25 feet; operate equipment safely with required harnesses.
• Available for overtime with little notice; willing to rotate across warehouse areas.
• Strict adherence to Cardinal Health's EHS, QRA policies, and PPE including steel-toed shoes.
• Aptitude for fast-paced quotas, problem-solving within SOPs, under moderate supervision.
