Role Overview

The Warehouse Associate (2nd Shift) position at Cardinal Health's Ontario, CA facility is perfect for motivated individuals seeking reliable work in a fast-paced distribution environment. This full-time role operates Sunday-Thursday from 3:00 PM until task completion, with overtime as needed. You'll earn $22.10 per hour, including shift differential, and receive comprehensive benefits from day one. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll perform essential tasks to keep our warehouse operations running smoothly:

  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accurate order processing, including picking large case items with material handling equipment, quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, pallet building, wrapping, packing, loading, and shipment preparation.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in products and prepare outbound shipments.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as order pickers (cherry pickers), forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders as required.
  • Complete housekeeping, inventory control, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Cross-train across inbound and outbound areas, participate in projects, attend associate meetings, and resolve routine problems while communicating concerns to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

We welcome entry-level candidates comfortable in a goal-oriented setting. Key requirements include:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, stoop, stand for entire shift, and work at heights of 20-30 feet regularly.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with material handling equipment (PIT), RF scanners, or voice-to-pick systems is highly preferred but not required.
  • Must be available for overtime with little notice and able to work independently or in a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, aptitude for fast-paced environments, and willingness to learn and rotate roles.
  • Commitment to safety: Wear steel-toed shoes, safety harnesses, and adhere to Cardinal Health's EHS and QRA policies.
