Role Overview

The Warehouse Associate, 2nd Shift position at Cardinal Health's Walton Hills, OH location offers a dynamic entry into healthcare supply chain operations. Working Monday-Friday starting at 4 PM (until work is completed), this full-time role includes mandatory overtime and a competitive $1000 new-hire sign-on bonus. Anticipated hourly pay ranges from $20.58 to $23.44, including shift differential, based on experience. No prior warehouse experience is necessary—all training starts on day one. Key Responsibilities

In this position, you'll follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders efficiently. Key duties include accurately picking large case items using material handling equipment or small units placed on carts, performing quality control checks, sorting and consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing shipments. You'll operate equipment such as order pickers (cherry pickers), forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders. Additional tasks involve utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for product check-in and outbound, completing housekeeping and inventory control, cross-training in multiple warehouse areas, participating in associate meetings, and adhering to OSHA standards and company safety policies.

Daily Operations

Expect routine assignments requiring problem resolution within clearly defined SOPs. Maintain a clean, safe work environment while meeting hourly performance standards. Communicate concerns to management and rotate into various warehouse functions as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

We welcome candidates with little to no warehouse experience. Key qualifications include the ability to work overtime with little notice, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, stoop, and stand for the entire shift. Comfort working at heights of 20-30 feet is essential, along with wearing required PPE like steel-toed safety shoes and safety harnesses. A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is preferred. Prior experience with PIT (powered industrial trucks), RF scanners, or voice-to-pick is highly valued. Successful candidates demonstrate aptitude for fast-paced settings, good verbal/written communication, ability to follow directions, change priorities, and work independently or in teams. Willingness to learn and adhere to Cardinal Health’s EHS and QRA policies is mandatory.
