Role Overview

The Warehouse Associate II Part-Time position at Cardinal Health's Montgomery, NY location is perfect for reliable individuals seeking evening work in a dynamic distribution environment. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate order processing. Responsibilities include picking large case items or small units using carts or powered industrial trucks (PIT), performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing shipments. You'll drive equipment such as order pickers (cherry pickers), forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders. Additional duties involve utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for check-ins and outs, completing housekeeping and inventory tasks, cross-training across warehouse areas, participating in team meetings, and adhering to all safety protocols including wearing steel-toed shoes and safety harnesses.

Daily Operations

Expect to work independently or in teams, changing priorities as directed by supervisors while maintaining productivity and safety standards. Routine problem-solving and communication with management are key to operational success.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates should have a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Physical demands include frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, standing for entire shifts, and comfortably working at heights of 20-30 feet. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include prior experience with material handling equipment (PIT), RF scanners, or voice-to-pick systems. Must be available for overtime with little notice and willing to learn new equipment and rotate warehouse areas. Adherence to Cardinal Health's EHS and QRA policies is non-negotiable.
