Role Overview

The Warehouse Associate, Mid Shift position at our Waukegan, IL facility offers a dynamic entry into the healthcare logistics sector. This full-time role starts at 12 PM Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime as needed to meet distribution demands. You'll earn $21.36 per hour, including shift differential, in a fast-paced environment handling medical products that directly impact patient care. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll contribute to the seamless flow of healthcare products from receipt to shipment. Warehouse Operations at Cardinal Health manages receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and storage using advanced automation and manual processes.

• Cross-train across Inbound, ValueLink, and Outbound departments for operational flexibility.
• Receive large boxes on the dock, scan products with RF scanners, and enter data into warehouse management systems.
• Break down cases and use heavy equipment to replenish inventory locations efficiently.
• Employ voice-to-pick technology to select large case items with material handling equipment or small units for cart placement.
• Palletize large items, wrap skids securely, and pack small items into boxes for outbound shipment.
• Operate diverse equipment including order pickers (cherry pickers), forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek reliable team players with a strong work ethic and aptitude for fast-paced distribution. Preferred qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of related warehouse or material handling experience.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and voice-to-pick systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently, bend, reach, stoop, and stand for entire shifts.
• Comfort working at heights up to 25 feet with safety harnesses.
• Flexibility for overtime and rotation across warehouse areas.
• Commitment to safety protocols, including steel-toed shoes and EHS/QRA compliance.
