Role Overview

As a Warehouse IC Lead Associate on the 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 1 pm - 9:30 pm), you will support the Inventory Management Supervisor in overseeing warehouse floor operations at our Portland, OR distribution center. This leadership role involves directing the inventory control team, managing workflows, and ensuring seamless product receipt, storage, and shipment.   • Following standard operating procedures to assess inventory levels, submit orders, and audit warehouse operations for optimal performance.
  • Directing on-floor workflows for the inventory control team, including removing and logging recalled items, processing hold shelves, conducting Prime/reserve cycle counts, investigating variances, managing external count requests, and maintaining the chase area.
  • Analyzing internal data to produce reports on workforce productivity and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Coordinating closely with the Inventory Management Supervisor to align on warehouse and inventory priorities that support broader operational objectives.
  • Assisting hands-on with inventory management, stocking, and shipping tasks as needed to maintain flow.

Additionally, you will communicate with external customers to address disruptions and uphold satisfaction, ensuring Cardinal Health's reputation for reliability.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous Inventory Control experience.

  • Proficiency in AIMS, RF scanners, and voice-to-pick systems highly preferred.

Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, standing for entire shifts, working at heights of 20-30 feet, and adhering to safety protocols with steel-toed shoes and PPE. Flexibility for overtime with little notice is essential, along with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
