PepsiCo
PepsiCo is one of the world's leading food and beverage companies, with a portfolio that includes iconic brands like Pepsi, Gatorade, Lay's, Quaker, and Tropicana. Operating in over 200 countries, PepsiCo employs hundreds of thousands of dedicated professionals committed to delivering high-quality products while fostering sustainable practices. In North America, PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) drives innovation in the beverage sector, ensuring efficient supply chains that keep products flowing to consumers. As a Warehouse Person (Loader) in Morton, Illinois, you'll play a vital role in this dynamic operation, contributing to the seamless distribution of beverages that refresh millions daily.
The Warehouse Person (Loader) - Evenings position in Morton, IL, is a hands-on, labor-intensive role perfect for those who thrive in fast-paced warehouse environments. Working evening shifts, you'll hand-build pallets of product for bulk and route trucks, operate forklifts and electronic pallet jacks, and ensure pinpoint order accuracy. Starting at $23.92 per hour, this full-time role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to join a global leader. Expect varied shift durations based on workload, exposure to diverse weather conditions, and the physical demands of lifting 20-45 pound cases repeatedly throughout long shifts. This is more than a job—it's an entry point into PepsiCo's robust supply chain career path.
In this role, your primary accountabilities include driving power pallet jacks or forklifts to picking areas, building loads according to electronic systems, load sheets, or voice pick audio equipment. You'll mark tickets for out-of-stock items, wrap completed pallets, turn in paperwork for verification, and stage loads into trucks. Additional duties encompass completing partial pallets, putting away mixed pallets, and upholding strict housekeeping standards. For bulk trucks, you'll select packages, stack stably, and shrink-wrap for local delivery. Route truck loading customizes orders per salesperson needs, while all tasks involve unloading returns and maintaining safety protocols. Precision in loading/unloading, compliance with shipper documentation, and constant physical activity—standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping—are core to success.
Select designated flavors from the warehouse, build stable pallets, and load onto trailers for local routes, handling raw materials and returns efficiently.
Customize loads based on sales orders, ensuring product integrity from warehouse to truck.
Basic qualifications are straightforward: you must be 18 years or older with regular, reliable, predictable attendance. Helpful experience includes working in warehouse settings as an order selector, product staging, or using powered pallet jacks and forklifts. Proficiency in basic forklift operations—driving forward/backward, lifting/lowering booms, maneuvering in tight spaces—is a plus. Familiarity with racking systems, vertical stacking for maximum storage, and team collaboration for joint problem-solving will set you apart. Physical stamina is essential for high-volume lifting and sustained movement. PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer, considering qualified applicants with criminal histories per Fair Chance Ordinances and offering accommodations for disabilities.
PepsiCo Beverages North America provides a comprehensive benefits package tailored to support employees and families. This includes healthcare insurance covering medical, dental, vision, disability, and health/dependent care reimbursement accounts. Retirement benefits ensure long-term financial security, while additional perks promote work-life balance. Eligibility varies by election, but the package underscores PepsiCo's commitment to employee well-being, making this role attractive for those seeking stability and growth.
PepsiCo invests in talent development, offering pathways from warehouse roles to supervisory positions, logistics management, and beyond. Gain hands-on experience with advanced equipment, safety training, and operational processes that build transferable skills. Many employees advance through internal programs, certifications in forklift operation, and leadership tracks. Joining as a Warehouse Person (Loader) positions you for promotions within PBNA's expansive network, with opportunities in supply chain, distribution, and operations across the U.S.
