About the Role

Wayfair, an innovative online retail platform, seeks a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join its Customer Technology team in the Search & Recommendations department in Bangalore, India. The role focuses on researching and developing advanced ML systems that power real-time search type-ahead, content recommendations, and algorithmic personalization to enhance customer experience, loyalty, and business growth at web scale. As part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, you will leverage cutting-edge AI to drive impactful features that customers interact with on and off the site. This position offers the chance to contribute to Wayfair's mission of enabling everyone to live in a home they love by building world-class ML products. While primarily technology-focused, the work indirectly supports warehouse and logistics operations through optimized search and recommendation systems that improve inventory visibility, demand forecasting, and supply chain efficiency for home goods fulfillment.
