About the Role

Wayfair is seeking a passionate Backend Software Engineer III to join the Fulfillment Optimization team in Bangalore, India, under Full Stack Engineering. This role focuses on building platforms that optimize customer order fulfillment across Wayfair's largest custom e-commerce large parcel network in the United States, spanning approximately 1.6 million square meters of logistics space. The position requires compliance with a hybrid work schedule and emphasizes creating flexible, reliable, and resilient systems to manage the highly variable logistics ecosystem for efficient operations, profitability, and customer delight. Key work involves enhancing and scaling customer-facing platforms that determine how orders are routed through Wayfair's complex supply chain. Engineers will tackle challenges in warehouse fulfillment, large parcel shipping, and dynamic optimization to handle variability in demand, inventory, and delivery networks. This is an opportunity to impact Wayfair's core logistics operations at massive scale, leveraging backend expertise to drive warehouse efficiency and seamless customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend platforms for customer order fulfillment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience in backend development
• Proficiency in building scalable and resilient systems
• Experience with large-scale e-commerce or logistics platforms
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule in Bangalore, India
• Demonstrated passion for optimization in fulfillment networks
