About the Role

Wayfair is seeking a Software Engineer III for the Supply Chain Retail Technology team in Bangalore, India, focusing on the Fulfillment Optimization group. This role involves building and scaling backend platforms that power customer order fulfillment across Wayfair's vast 1.6 million square meters of logistics space—the largest custom e-commerce large parcel network in the US. The position demands creating flexible, reliable, and resilient systems to manage the highly variable logistics ecosystem, ensuring efficient operations, profitability, and customer delight in a hybrid work environment. Key work centers on enhancing customer-facing platforms and optimizing fulfillment processes within warehouse and supply chain operations. Engineers will tackle challenges unique to large-scale parcel delivery, inventory management, and dynamic order routing, contributing to Wayfair's end-to-end retail technology stack. Preferred candidates are Bangalore-based, with strong backend expertise to drive innovation in this critical logistics domain.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience

• Experience with large-scale logistics or supply chain systems
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule in Bangalore, India
• Demonstrated problem-solving in variable ecosystems
