You’ll drive technical and product direction, lead high-performing teams through hypergrowth, unblock inefficiencies, and navigate complex regulatory landscapes while collaborating across tribes like Regional, Finance & Treasury, and Servicing. Key Responsibilities

• Drive technical and product direction for Receive Squad engineering teams
• Be hands-on with system design and unblock complex technical challenges
• Build and scale high-performing engineering teams for hypergrowth
• Unblock teams by reducing inefficiencies and improving focus
• Navigate risk, compliance, and regulatory challenges iteratively
• Collaborate with Regional, Finance & Treasury, and Servicing tribes
• Influence Wise’s broader technical and product vision
• Champion engineering culture of continuous improvement and customer-centricity

Required Qualifications

• Experienced engineering leader who has led complex, high-impact teams at scale
• Strong technical foundation with expertise in system design, architecture, and scalability
• Experience in regulated industries, balancing compliance, speed, and customer value
• Proven ability to lead in globally distributed, cross-functional environments
• Thrives in high-growth, high-accountability cultures with autonomy and trust

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in financial services or fintech
• Background in payment systems or global infrastructure
• Track record of mentoring engineering managers and technical leads
