Join Wise as an Engineering Lead in Embedded Finance and help build the world's best platform for partners to seamlessly integrate financial services. In this hands-on role, you'll design and develop scalable services tackling real-world challenges like frictionless onboarding and cross-border money movement for major enterprises. You'll mentor engineers, drive technical decisions, and collaborate with product managers to shape the team's vision and roadmap, delivering impactful solutions that power Wise's mission of money without borders. Work closely with solutions engineering and business development to solve pain points for the largest global enterprises, ensuring robust, reliable products. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the team’s services
• Mentor and support engineers in their growth and development
• Drive technical decisions to ensure reliable and scalable products
• Collaborate with Product Manager to own team direction and product plans
• Work with teams across Wise to deliver impact and expand platform functionality
• Take ownership of the team’s services and products
• Push best practices for high-quality engineering

Required Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in building scalable financial or fintech services
• Strong background in software engineering with hands-on development expertise
• Proven ability to mentor and support engineer growth and development
• Experience collaborating with product managers to define roadmaps and technical vision
• Track record of owning services and driving technical decisions for reliable, high-quality products

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in embedded finance or payment platforms
• Knowledge of cross-border money movement and onboarding solutions
• Background working with enterprise partners in fintech
• Familiarity with Wise's technology stack or similar scalable systems
