About the Role

Join our growing financial crime fighting team in São Paulo as a Fincrime Operations Team Lead - RFI, leading the team that manages requests for further information (RFI) between Wise and external partner banks. You'll build robust, compliant processes, ensure SLA compliance, and drive data-based improvements to scale performance and quality while delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a people's lead, you'll hire, develop, and motivate your RFI team, create scalable operational processes, collaborate with compliance teams, handle escalations with empathy, and mitigate risks. This hybrid role (minimum 3 days in office) offers a salary of 15,400 - 20,100 BRL monthly, plus Wise's comprehensive benefits. Key Responsibilities

  • Hiring, leading and developing RFI team agents and specialists
  • Developing operational processes, task allocation, training and performance management
  • Ensuring complete, accurate, and timely reviews are conducted
  • Creating, documenting and improving scalable operational processes
  • Collaborating with compliance teams to improve processes and policies
  • Acting as first level escalation point for team and partners
  • Assessing and mitigating operational risks and controls
  • Leading initiatives with partners and Wise teams to manage changes

Required Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Self-starter with hands-on mentality and proactive approach
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to engage internal/external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory)
  • Great organisational skills with ability to prioritise multiple tasks

  • Previous work experience in compliance, anti-financial crime or related field
  • Experience in fast-paced environments
  • Proven track record of leading people
  • Additional languages beyond English
