About the Role

Join the Servicing Tooling Platform team within the Mitigation squad at Wise, a global technology company revolutionizing how the world moves and manages money. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll build a scalable, reusable platform that standardizes operational processes through high-quality data, out-of-the-box backoffice solutions, and reliable tools for agents and support functions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global, inclusive environment, you'll enable quick technical solutions for diverse operational needs while ensuring security, scalability, and the deprecation of legacy systems. Our vision centers on abstracting common processes, providing platform-level support with easy guides, and maintaining service stability without hindering effectiveness. You'll take ownership of big challenges, iterate on legacy systems, and center decisions around data and API design to drive Wise's mission forward. With a salary range of 1,280,000 - 1,700,000 HUF monthly in Budapest, this role offers the chance to impact millions by building money without borders—for everyone, everywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a scalable and reusable platform for efficient operational processes
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of the tooling platform
• Standardise and enable Servicing Operational processes via common abstractions and out-of-the-box solutions
• Provide the quickest technical solutions for product teams building manual work tooling
• Offer platform-level support for core and custom problems with easy guides for implementation, troubleshooting and analysis
• Ensure service stability, security, scalability, and support deprecation of legacy back-office tooling
• Contribute to high quality data and reliable backoffice tools for agents and supporting functions
• Drive engineering solutions and suggest future challenges to scale operations

Required Qualifications

• Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently while also being a good team player with frequent cross-team collaboration
• Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value
• Following best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback
• Having data and API design at the centre of your decisions
• Ability to build iteratively new capabilities on top of legacy systems for eventual decommissioning

Preferred Qualifications

• A passion for international finance, foreign exchange and payment systems
