About the Role

Wise is pioneering the future of global money movement, and we're seeking a Group Product Compliance and Risk Lead for our Global Account team to shape the compliance and risk program as we expand our Account proposition worldwide. Embedded in the Global Product Account Squad, you'll be the first line of defence, owning projects from new product launches to regulatory engagements. Build strategies for seamless global roll-outs, support Product Managers with regulatory clarity, and lead audit responses while optimising controls to drive speed and scale. In this hands-on role, you'll define risk metrics, coordinate remediations, and report to global committees, regulators, and partners. You'll represent Wise in industry forums and consultations, keeping compliance at the heart of our fast-paced product development. Key Responsibilities

  • Build compliance strategies for seamless global roll-out of new Account products and features
  • Support Product Managers in understanding regulatory and risk requirements throughout the product lifecycle
  • Translate and implement local regulatory requirements for Product and Engineering teams
  • Lead Wise's response during exams and audits related to Global Account
  • Define Regulatory and Financial Crime Risk metrics for Global Account
  • Coordinate prioritisation and remediation of compliance issues
  • Monitor and report on Global Account program health to stakeholders
  • Represent Wise in industry forums and regulatory consultations

Required Qualifications

  • Deep experience in financial services compliance, regulatory risk, or financial crime risk management
  • Hands-on experience in fintech or global financial products
  • Proven track record in product compliance or first line of defence roles
  • Strong understanding of international regulatory frameworks and financial crime risks
  • Experience leading responses to regulatory exams, audits, or external engagements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cross-border payments or e-money regulations
  • Background in product management support within regulated environments
  • Knowledge of global account products or banking-as-a-service
  • Participation in industry associations or regulatory consultations
