About the Role

Wise is opening a new office in Hyderabad at the heart of product development, seeking a Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer for our first India product team as part of APAC expansion. APAC drives Wise's growth, with India central to new customer acquisitions through fast, convenient onboarding and money movement. Join us to disrupt India's bank-dominated cross-border industry by building tailored solutions leveraging local KYC and payment ecosystems. You'll develop robust, compliant systems for seamless onboarding, scalable money movement mimicking domestic speed, and automations for cost-efficient processing. Using observability and analytics, identify gaps and opportunities while collaborating globally to plan roadmaps and deliver impact. Key Responsibilities

• Develop products for Wise customers in the Indian market
• Design onboarding and money movement solutions using local KYC and payment stacks
• Build robust, compliant systems for seamless customer onboarding
• Create scalable money movement systems for cross-border payments
• Build automations and tooling for efficient payment and data processing
• Utilize observability and analytics to identify growth opportunities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan roadmaps and deliver scope
• Disrupt the cross-border payments industry dominated by banks

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in product development
• Experience building full-stack applications
• Strong understanding of scalable systems and compliance in fintech
• Experience with payment systems or KYC processes
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in APAC or Indian market fintech
• Knowledge of local Indian payment ecosystems (UPI, etc.)
• Staff-level engineering experience leading initiatives
