Reporting to the Indonesia Country Manager, you will take full ownership of accelerating Wise's expansion through hands-on execution of licensing, strategic partnerships with banks and payment schemes, and innovative growth strategies. This role offers the freedom to shape our vision in Indonesia, influence product development, and ensure millions more customers benefit from our low-fee, high-speed international money services. Your mission will span market entry via regulatory approvals, forging key financial partnerships to optimize economics and integrations, and leading strategic initiatives like new local payment methods. Collaborating across global teams, you'll provide local expertise, manage operations and governance, and tackle Asia Pacific priorities. Key Responsibilities

• Identify and execute strategies for expanding Wise in Indonesia, including end-to-end licensing processes
• Collaborate with product team on new product launches and feature development
• Establish and maintain partnerships with financial institutions, leading commercial negotiations and integrations
• Work with compliance team to ensure regulatory alignment and leverage regulations as opportunities
• Oversee scalable business operations, problem-solving, and governance structures
• Drive strategic initiatives for growth, such as new local payment methods or product features
• Assist Country Manager with business oversight, operational risk, and inter-company SLAs
• Support wider Asia Pacific Expansion team priorities and new growth opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Experienced in the payment space, either from the regulatory side or within the industry
• Residing in Indonesia or willing to relocate to Indonesia (no visa support provided)
• Native Bahasa Indonesia speaker and fluent in English
• Well-versed in payments, FX, and AML regulations in Indonesia
• Experienced in building business relationships with financial institutions and dealing with risk/compliance teams
• Comfortable navigating AML/KYC and risk controls

• Excellent at managing external relationships such as regulators and financial institutions
