About the Role

As a KYC Operations Associate Analyst in our Operations team, you will perform timely customer due diligence to complete the KYC process, engaging in research and analysis using customer information, internal data, external tools, and your expertise to apply due diligence controls on diverse customers and counterparties. Your key duties include conducting CDD and EDD reviews with risk-based decisions, verifying identity documents and business structures, monitoring transactions for risks, maintaining accurate records, assessing and escalating risks, communicating effectively with customers, and meeting KPIs in a fast-paced environment. This role demands precision, autonomy, and a proactive approach to ensure compliance with KYC/AML guidelines while supporting Wise's mission to create a new network for the world's money. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews
• Take risk-based-approach decisions in your reviews ensuring risk mitigation standards are met
• Review customer transaction history and provide insights into customer behaviour patterns that may indicate risks
• Ensure customer records are accurate and updated as required
• Perform and document customer risk assessment based on collected information
• Escalate to relevant teams when identifying activities exceeding our internal risk tolerance
• Effective communication with customers by the relevant communication channels
• Perform your tasks and responsibilities within the expected key performance indicators set by the leadership team

Required Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English skills (additional language skills are a plus)
• A minimum of 1+ years of experience in Operations, (preferably in CDD/EDD/AML or compliance roles)
• Basic knowledge of global KYC/AML compliance regulations and standards
• Ability to take decisions and apply risk-based approach at your work
• Punctual, independent, proactive and willing to get things done

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or related field
• ICA, CAMS, or equivalent certification (CDD/EDD focused)
