Wise is pioneering the future of global money movement, and we're seeking a NorthAM FC Senior Manager to lead our best-in-class AML program in the US and Canada. In this hands-on role within the NorthAm Product Compliance and Risk team, you'll collaborate directly with product managers, analysts, and engineers to scale our offerings while effectively managing financial crime risks, meeting regulatory obligations, and enhancing customer experience. You'll implement bank partner engagement programs, build robust controls, develop insightful reporting, and provide expert advice to drive compliant growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Fully implement a bank partner engagement program developing metrics to communicate AML program health
  • Support closure of financial crime issues by building new controls or enhancing existing ones with regional and core teams
  • Enable growth by improving controls, reducing unnecessary customer suspensions, and reviewing products for regulatory compliance
  • Develop reporting to enhance regional and global understanding of NorthAM financial crime program health
  • Offer advice to Product Managers on regulations, gaps, and risks, proactively addressing them
  • Ensure full understanding of regional control framework, local risks, and NorthAM controls through documentation and procedure uplift
  • Maintain the regional product compliance manual
  • Instill confidence in bank partners, auditors, and regulators regarding NorthAM AML compliance

Required Qualifications

  • Highly experienced in anti-financial crime risk and AML programs
  • Proven expertise in evaluating and implementing financial crime controls
  • Strong knowledge of US and Canada regulatory requirements for financial services
  • Experience in fintech or rapidly scaling product environments
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with product managers, analysts, and engineers
