Partner Risk Assessment Specialist - APAC

As a Partner Risk Assessment Specialist - APAC in our Wise Platform team, you will ensure seamless onboarding of banks and online platforms by conducting thorough compliance reviews, producing risk memos, and guiding partners through KYC. This role in our cross-functional, global team (Singapore-based) lets you shape partnerships that power instant, borderless payments for millions. Your mission is to safeguard Wise’s regulatory adherence while driving onboarding excellence. Review policies, assess risks, recommend controls, and collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Business Development to integrate partners efficiently. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough due diligence on banks and online platforms to assess compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards
  • Review partners’ documentation, including KYC information, legal agreements, and other relevant materials
  • Document findings in comprehensive compliance memos that summarize potential risks
  • Manage the onboarding process for banks and online platforms, ensuring seamless integration with Wise Platform
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate monitoring controls based on identified risks
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Risk Management, and Business Development
  • Assist in developing and improving the compliance onboarding process
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners to facilitate smooth onboarding

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written English skills (additional language skills are a plus)
  • A minimum of 2+ years of financial services industry compliance experience, preferably at a bank, trading, payments, or fintech institution
  • Proven experience onboarding large enterprises to financial platforms, effectively managing complex organisational structures and processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skilled in investigation and business notation, specializing in evaluating risk assessments and compliance documentation
  • Strong capabilities in documenting business processes and compliance measures with clarity and precision
  • Understanding of risk-based approaches and assessments as well as control design and implementation in Risk and Compliance
