Wise processes over £145B in annual cross-border volume, and criminals exploit our efficient systems—your role is to build cutting-edge detection mechanisms using machine learning, LLMs, and advanced tech to catch hyper-specific, regional threats in real-time. Partner with global regulators and law enforcement across 65+ licenses and 160+ countries to ensure clean money flows without borders, while optimizing AML Recall and minimizing Cost of Suspicious Activity Reports through precision automation. You'll lead a cross-functional team in the AML Squad, based in Tallinn (Global role), owning customer risk scoring, live detection, investigations, and reporting. With full autonomy in a product-led company, report to Susana, collaborate with Kaarel, and learn from Nilan—experienced leaders invested in your growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Set new standards for preventing and live detecting hyper-specific and regional crime at scale
  • Satisfy global regulatory obligations while ensuring financial viability for the business
  • Collaborate with regional compliance officers to deliver globally respected controls
  • Work with data scientists, product analysts, designers, and developers to ship optimal products
  • Dive deep into criminal typologies to build advanced detection systems
  • Own vision and execution with full autonomy and responsibility
  • Travel to London, Tallinn, and global partners as needed
  • Drive improvements in AML Recall and Cost of SAR metrics

Required Qualifications

  • Seasoned PM with at least 6 years of direct product management experience, ideally closer to 10
  • Customer obsessed, approaching problems from the perspective of regulators and law enforcement as 'customers'
  • Direct experience building machine learning, LLM, or other advanced algorithmic/data-heavy products
  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to identify, diagnose, and prioritise problems and opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience solving complex problems at global scale
  • Expertise in criminal typologies and international crime detection
  • Background in financial services or regulatory compliance
