Product Analytics Lead - FinCrime Platform

Join the Financial Crime Platform team as a Product Analytics Lead, partnering with Financial Crime and KYC Product teams to drive data-driven decisions that combat financial crime while ensuring smooth customer experiences. The FinCrime Platform unifies onboarding and transaction monitoring, protecting Wise from risks and meeting regulatory standards—this is your chance to lead analytics balancing prevention and user delight. Lead analytics efforts by collaborating with Product, Engineering, and fellow analysts across Wise’s 150+ strong team. Own key metrics, build scalable pipelines with SQL, dbt, and Python to handle 100M+ daily rows, create actionable visualizations, and partner on ML models for risk assessment. Proactively discover insights from unstructured data, scope initiatives to reduce scams, and translate complex problems into simple models, driving real impact towards Wise’s mission. This AL2 role suits a Product Analyst thriving on technical challenges or an Analytics Engineer eager for business outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Product, Engineering and other Analysts to bring insights into real change
  • Expose vast amounts of data to product teams in a meaningful and actionable way
  • Own, create, track key metrics and results for the product team
  • Support senior and lead analysts by building pipelines, preparing reports, and visualisations
  • Partner with data scientists and engineers to create new features for FinCrime prevention ML models
  • Build the framework for managing risk and customer experience
  • Drive the discovery phase by scoping new opportunities and suggesting initiatives to reduce Scams

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics
  • 2+ years of experience building, coaching and leading analysts
  • Strong quantitative skills. Ideally a background in statistics, maths, physics, engineering, computing, or other scientific area
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to translate business and engineering problems into analytical solutions while being sensitive to the customer’s needs
  • Ability to structure business problems with minimal supervision and prioritise problems collaboratively with PMs and Engineers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Analytics/Data Engineering experience
  • Experience with unstructured datasets
  • Experience in fincrime domain balancing risk and supporting customer experience
