We're seeking a Regulatory Product Compliance Senior Manager to join our Product Compliance team supporting APAC Assets. Launched in Singapore in 2022 and Australia in 2024, our Assets product enables customers to invest in stocks or bonds while maintaining instant access and spend functionality like a checking account. In this hands-on, first-line role embedded in the Product team, you'll collaborate with Singapore and London teams to enhance our Assets offering compliantly and expand into new APAC markets. Your mission involves deep regulatory expertise to interpret requirements, mitigate risks, design compliant products, and represent Wise externally. You'll translate complex regulations into practical solutions, perform pre-launch analyses, and drive improvements that boost competitiveness while upholding our customer-centric ethos. This unique opportunity lets you grow as a fintech product compliance leader, build world-class compliant products, and contribute to saving millions more people money. Ideal for those with 7+ years in compliance from investments or capital markets, deep knowledge of MAS/ASIC regulations, and strong communication skills to partner with product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory risk and remediation: Demonstrate deep understanding of Wise Assets product and local regulatory requirements to support Product and operational teams on interpreting requirements, improving processes and product to avoid breaches
  • Identify and align on main regulatory risks, gaps and forthcoming regulations with Risk and Compliance second line and product team, present clearly and define/executing mitigating actions
  • Product design: Deeply understand regulatory needs, translate into solutions and collaborate with Product Teams to build compliant new products/features/services in a customer-oriented way
  • Perform regulatory analysis of new products/features/services and implement required controls prior to launch
  • Identify opportunities to improve product proposition/competitiveness by analysing regulations and challenging existing interpretations/market practice
  • Third Party Relationships: Represent Wise in external meetings, articulate Assets Product clearly and effectively
  • Provide input on regulatory matters, representing Wise’s customer-oriented culture while ensuring compliance
  • Work with product teams in Singapore and London to improve Assets offering in Singapore and expand to new APAC markets

Required Qualifications

  • Min 7 years of relevant experience in a compliance role within the retail investments, fund management, broker-dealer, or capital markets industry
  • Deep working knowledge of securities regulations in Singapore OR Australia e.g. MAS’ Securities and Futures Act (“SFA”) OR Australia Corporations Act
  • Familiar with the evolving regulatory expectations of the MAS or ASIC / APRA with regards to Capital Market firms and ideally even Payment Services / Electronic Money firms
  • Legally authorised to work in Singapore

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with licensing and regulatory frameworks in multiple jurisdictions across APAC

Required Skills

  • Ability to prioritise effectively and call-out key areas of improvement and implementation required from a regulatory point of view
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Product Managers and Engineers and provide practical, actionable, and value added recommendations
  • Problem solving attitude, with the ability to use regulation together with data to drive business decisions
