In this full-time hybrid role, you'll deepen our presence in a critical region where USD flows dominate, owning key bank relationships, advancing payment infrastructure, and executing projects that enhance our cross-border services. Your role will involve leading integrations with US and Canadian payment systems, managing due diligences and negotiations, and collaborating across Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal to build superior customer experiences. With your expertise in payments rails, regulations, and partnerships, you'll drive high-impact initiatives like new rail expansions, license operationalization, and innovative product discovery, ensuring Wise delivers the best infrastructure for North American customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Advance Wise's payment infrastructure in North America
  • Own key bank and payment partner relationships in the region
  • Lead commercial negotiations, due diligences, and business reviews
  • Execute high-priority projects for infrastructure growth and regulatory expansion
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal teams
  • Align with Government Relations on payments regulations and policy goals
  • Support integrations to payment rails and schemes in US and Canada
  • Drive metrics improvement to maximize partner leverage and volume growth

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in banking, payments, or financial services
  • Deep knowledge of North American payment systems (e.g., ACH, Fedwire, RTP, SEPA equivalents in Canada)
  • Strong understanding of U.S. and Canadian regulatory landscape for payments and financial services
  • Proven track record in managing bank and payment partner relationships
  • Experience in commercial negotiations, due diligence, and business reviews
  • Analytical mindset with project management and executive communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cross-border payments or fintech partnerships
  • Knowledge of central bank payment systems and direct integrations
