Senior Data Analyst - Finance & Treasury

About the Role

As a FinTech moving billions in customer money across over 70 countries, we need bulletproof reporting and insights into our Treasury operations—from timely controls to investigations into inefficiencies in our money movement network. Data is central to optimising our team’s decisions and processes. Joining our Treasury team in Shoreditch, London, as a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll curate datasets, build critical pipelines, diagnose anomalies in trades and payments, and collaborate with FX, Liquidity, and Operations teams to drive lower costs and risks. With 3-5 years of experience, advanced SQL, Python/R, and strong analytics, you’ll deliver impactful insights that power Wise’s product and mission. We offer £60,000 - £75,000 salary, RSUs, hybrid working, generous leave including sabbaticals, and a diverse, inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Curating datasets, surfacing metrics, sizing opportunities, and deeper dive analysis to discover inefficiencies and optimise the team’s approach to money movement
  • Building and maintaining critical data pipelines
  • Hunting down and diagnosing unusual behaviour or anomalies with our trades and payments
  • Liaising with FX, Liquidity and Operations teams to understand how to improve processes to achieve lower costs and risks in these areas

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in similar roles
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience building data pipelines
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Data visualisation and storytelling ability
  • Ability to self organise and manage stakeholders
  • Demonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • DBT
  • Data modelling in a warehouse context
  • Experience working with financial or payments data
