Reporting to Risk and Controls leadership, you'll co-lead SOX-aligned control mapping for Treasury functions, guide regulatory compliance, build testing programs, and partner across teams to mature our risk framework. This role offers high autonomy, deep exposure to FinTech operations, and a platform to step into Treasury leadership as we scale globally. Your mission is pivotal: challenge Treasury teams on risks like market, liquidity, credit, and FX; develop KRIs for continuous monitoring; and foster a risk-aware culture supporting Wise's Money Without Borders vision. With our teams spread worldwide, expect video calls and quarterly travel. Key Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the project to build end-to-end views of control environment for key risks, controls and processes impacting Treasury from a SOX perspective
  • Guide teams on implementation of US SOX and relevant local regulations
  • Assist in building a testing programme to assess controls, identify gaps and implement remediation plans
  • Support and challenge Treasury teams to mature risk and control environment
  • Partner with finance and non-finance teams to address Treasury-related risks and controls
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including Risk and Internal Audit to establish standards, policies and KRIs for ongoing risk monitoring

Required Qualifications

  • Professional finance qualification such as CFA, FRM, CAIA, ACA (or equivalent like CPA/ACCA)
  • Proven post-qualification experience in Treasury Risks
  • Significant experience in SOX requirements including testing of controls and remediating weaknesses
  • Detailed knowledge of Treasury concepts including Market, Liquidity, Credit Risks and FX Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading and managing teams in Financial Services
  • Experience in FinTech or fast-growing scale-ups
