Your mission is to enable, protect, and empower Wise by developing long-term procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, building stakeholder relationships, driving cost reductions, managing supplier lifecycles, mitigating risks, and promoting sustainable practices. You'll lead supplier performance initiatives, implement innovative technologies, mentor team members, and ensure compliance, all while enjoying high ownership and hands-on impact from day one. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies that align with Wise's business objectives, including market analysis
  • Proactively build and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders and facilitate cross-departmental meetings
  • Lead efforts to achieve cost reductions and optimisation of spend across outsourcing categories
  • Evaluate and support selection of suppliers, manage onboarding, relationship management, and offboarding
  • Monitor and evaluate third-party relationships, identify consolidation opportunities, renegotiate contracts, or initiate RFPs
  • Develop and implement supplier performance metrics and scorecards, lead supplier improvement initiatives
  • Assist in risk mitigation strategies, stay informed on supply chain disruptions, political and economic environments
  • Advocate for sustainable and ethical sourcing, implement procurement technologies and automation
  • Mentor and develop procurement team members, ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in leading and developing commercial strategies within the financial services or fintech industry
  • Proven track record of delivering and exceeding commercial targets
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across different teams
  • Ability to advise, manage and report risks effectively, providing practical solutions to mitigate them
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • A get-it-done, collaborative approach to problem-solving
