About the Role

Join Wise's brand new Alpine Money Movement team as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on Europe Money Movement. We're building the quickest, most convenient, and cheapest money transfers across Switzerland and the Nordic region. Your primary focus will be launching high-impact direct access integrations first for Swiss Franc (CHF) and Swedish Krona (SEK), while maintaining and scaling our existing infrastructure to reduce risk and drive operational excellence. You'll collaborate closely with operations and banking teams to optimise efficiency and low costs, contributing to Wise's global mission of creating the #1 account for international relocators. Key Responsibilities

• Launch high-impact direct access integrations for Swiss Franc (CHF) and Swedish Krona (SEK)
• Build new direct integrations with local payment systems in Switzerland and Nordic region
• Maintain, scale, and optimise existing money movement infrastructure
• Reduce operational risk and improve system resilience
• Collaborate with operations and banking teams to drive efficiency and low costs
• Contribute to features enabling seamless financial transitions for global relocators
• Ensure quickest, most convenient, and cheapest money transfers

Required Qualifications

• Deep experience in software engineering with a focus on high-stakes financial systems
• Proven track record of building and launching integrations with payment systems
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive projects end-to-end

• Expertise in maintaining and scaling mission-critical infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with European payment rails (SEPA, SWIFT, or local schemes)
