About the Role

Join Wise as a Senior Software Engineer I on the Servicing Platform team, where you'll build the systems that make safe, global products possible. As part of our Platform Engineering team in the Risk Domain, you'll be at the intersection of Product and Risk – crafting foundational services that enable internal teams to ship faster, safer, and smarter across global markets. We're designing a centralized risk platform that unifies data and decision-making for identity verification, fraud detection, compliance, and more, acting as the connective tissue for money movement, regional expansion, and customer safety. You'll join a team that values autonomy, creativity, and collaboration, building this platform from the ground up with the support of a product org that ships globally. Your work will accelerate product delivery with built-in risk tooling, empower risk teams to protect without blocking development, and drive real impact by reducing fraud and scaling trust. With a starting salary of £85,000-£105,000 + RSUs, flexible working, and Wise's mission-driven culture, this role offers the chance to create an entirely new network for the world's money. Key Responsibilities

• Build foundational services for the Servicing Platform in the Risk Domain
• Design a centralized risk platform unifying data and decision-making across identity verification, fraud detection, and compliance
• Accelerate delivery for product teams with built-in risk tooling
• Empower risk teams with systems to assess, respond, and protect without blocking development
• Craft systems at the intersection of Product and Risk to ship faster, safer, and smarter

Required Qualifications

• Passion for building at scale – experience with high-throughput systems and ensuring services remain fast and reliable
