As a Senior SRE Engineer I in our Tallinn team (relocation provided), you will drive Reliability Excellence, collaborating cross-functionally with engineering teams to uphold our availability and performance SLOs. With a product engineering background, you'll leverage strong Java expertise to implement SRE best practices, automate processes, and eliminate blockers for seamless service reliability. Your role will involve deep dives into incident and service reviews, optimizing performance via our observability stack, and influencing teams on reliability approaches. You'll contribute hands-on to development, testing, and observability while managing incidents, capacity, and availability. Key Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to ensure availability and performance SLOs
• Focus on Reliability Excellence at Wise
• Identify opportunities to optimise performance using observability stack
• Deep dive into incident reviews and service reviews
• Suggest best practices and potential improvements
• Establish and maintain SRE best practices
• Handle effective Incident management, Capacity management and Availability
• Bring requirements to the wider Platform team

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on Java Software Engineer experience
• Strong understanding of Java and relevant application frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot)
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting Application, Database, Data related issues
• Strong prioritisation skills and effective time management
• Product engineer background with strong collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with observability stacks
• Knowledge of SRE best practices
• Ability to analyse complex requirements and deliver simple solutions
