Join our Marketing Platform team in London as a Senior Software Engineer, where you'll power marketing strategies that maximize ROI through confident, data-driven decisions. As keepers of our public and internal comparison data, we're a diverse squad of 4 engineers, 2 product leads, and 2 specialists, focused on minimizing risk with transparent channel measurement. You'll build scalable systems, APIs, and evolve our comparison scraping strategy to serve customers worldwide, collaborating daily with product managers, data scientists, analysts, and engineers. With 5+ years in Java/Kotlin, Spring, Kafka, and large-scale scraping, you'll take end-to-end ownership of features—from planning and release to monitoring adoption—while championing testable code, best practices, and team culture. Key Responsibilities

  • Join the Marketing Platform team to evolve and scale the marketing platform
  • Build systems and APIs for marketing strategy
  • Shape the next stage of comparison scraping strategy
  • Develop new features from planning to release and monitor adoption
  • Collaborate daily with product, data, and engineering teams
  • Ensure channel measurement is clear, transparent, and data-driven
  • Maintain comparison data for public and internal use
  • Contribute to quarterly planning and propose ideas for comparison product

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Java or Kotlin (or other JVM based language)
  • Strong experience with Spring framework, relational databases, distributed and concurrent systems (Kafka)
  • Experience in scraping technologies at scale and maintaining data accuracy
  • Close collaboration with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers and other product teams
  • Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • Strong product mindset and passion for customer experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing testable code and testing strategies (unit testing, integration testing)
  • Follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback
  • Strive to improve team culture and processes
  • Ability to work independently on customer problems with end-to-end ownership
