Key Responsibilities

• Own large-sized, impactful projects within the Wise Platform Verification domain
• Own the technical roadmap for areas of ownership, addressing technical debt, reliability, scalability, and security
• Design and implement robust backend systems with clean APIs to hide internal complexity
• Drive integration with risk and mitigation systems for compliance
• Identify and solve impactful problems within team and across teams
• Contribute to high-impact cross-team initiatives
• Mentor engineers and share best practices
• Deliver quarterly goals impacting verification processes and scalability

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working with Java 8+, Spring framework, asynchronous message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and architected and built highly scalable microservices
• Strong product mindset and deep passion for customer experience and regulatory compliance
• Prioritize work with holistic view of customer and business impact, making data-driven decisions for complex problems
• Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Commitment to writing clean, testable, maintainable, performant code and advocating best practices
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery of large-scale, organizationally-complex projects
• Extensive experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, schema design, and data lifecycle management
