About the Role

Wise is revolutionizing global payments with its multi-currency platform, now extending its industry-leading infrastructure to partners via Wise Platform. We're seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer - APAC in Singapore to drive integrations with banks and tech companies across the region. In this IC3 individual contributor role, you'll provide post-sale technical consulting, support business development, guide implementations, and collaborate across teams to scale our API offerings and deliver exceptional customer experiences for millions worldwide. You'll bridge business and technical worlds, representing Wise to partners while enhancing our public APIs through documentation, SDKs, and feature development. With freedom to define your impact, you'll tackle challenges in new markets, troubleshoot complex issues, and inspire teams internally and externally. Ideal candidates have a software engineering background, excel at stakeholder communication, and bring expertise in RESTful APIs and API design. Experience with our stack (Java/Spring, Kubernetes, AWS) and passion for payments are bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical consulting and product guidance to APAC partners post-sale
• Support business development for larger partners needing novel features
• Assist partners in implementation, defining solutions and documenting requirements
• Participate in feature definition, prioritisation, and strategy planning
• Ensure optimal integrations for excellent customer experience
• Collaborate with Implementation Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers
• Scale Wise Platform into new regions and improve integration experiences
• Troubleshoot technical issues and develop new API features when needed

Required Qualifications

• Software engineering background with experience delivering multiple technical projects concurrently
• Experience working with tech and non-tech stakeholders
• Strong customer-centric thinking balanced with technical expertise
• Personable with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Ability to represent Wise professionally to external partners
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple programming languages, tech stacks, and cloud providers
• Experience with Java (Spring ecosystem), Kubernetes, AWS, and service mesh architectures
• Knowledge of distributed systems and monolithic architectures
• Passion for international finance, foreign exchange, and payment systems
• Experience speaking at conferences and public events
