We're seeking a SEO Business Content Specialist - Japan to join our SEO Content team and drive growth for business customers through exceptional B2B content tailored to the Japanese market. In this senior-level role, you'll lead the content strategy for Wise's JP blog, collaborating with freelance writers to produce high-quality, SEO-optimized articles that address the unique pain points of Japanese businesses handling international payments. Your mission is to create compelling Japanese-language content that fuels Wise adoption, from keyword research and ideation to editing, publishing, and performance optimization. You'll leverage data-driven insights, monitor competitors, and ensure every piece aligns with our brand while simplifying complex financial products for readers. With Japan as one of Wise's largest markets, your work will have direct impact on scaling our presence and helping businesses save money on cross-border transactions. Ideal candidates bring 2-3 years of proven SEO content experience, deep Japanese market knowledge, and bilingual fluency in English and Japanese. Key Responsibilities

• Produce high quality SEO optimised business content in Japanese for Wise Japanese blog
• Revisit, optimise and improve older articles to boost performance
• Own content from ideas to briefing, proofreading, editing and publishing
• Conduct keyword research to plan content that drives organic traffic
• Find, coordinate and manage freelance writers
• Edit copy and make direct changes when necessary
• Make data-driven decisions using SEO and analytics tools
• Monitor competitor landscape and prioritise content projects

Required Qualifications

• Hold Japanese citizenship, Permanent Residency or Child/Spouse of Japanese Citizen Visa
• Good understanding of the Japanese Market and local insights about managing money internationally
• 2-3 years of SEO content experience with independently created content plans that impacted business goals
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Native speaker proficiency in Japanese with keen eye for content quality and readability
