Job Description

Software Engineer - Developer Enablement

Location: Global

Team: General

About the Role

Wise is a global technology company on a mission to build the best way to move and manage the world’s money with min fees, max ease, and full speed. As a Software Engineer in Developer Enablement, you'll join a team responsible for designing, building, and running a comprehensive testing platform for the entire engineering organisation. This isn't QA—it's about proactively preventing incidents, maximising test coverage, and minimising human effort through tools and infrastructure that streamline Test Environment Management, Test Data Management, Test Case Design, and Test Automation & Execution. You'll build out our nascent testing platform by identifying engineers' biggest testing blockers and devising highly automated solutions at scale. Collaborating with Platform Engineering and engineers company-wide, you'll create a scalable foundation, integrate services, and drive the shift to automated, repeatable end-to-end testing. With a focus on automation, programmatic implementation, and reusable design, you'll analyse complex requirements, deliver simple solutions, and use data/metrics to prioritise investments—ensuring we deploy software with maximum confidence and minimum effort as we grow. This role offers the freedom to define the vision, gain visibility in the open source community, and have real impact in a fun, flexible environment. Starting salary: £65,000-£85,000 + RSUs, plus benefits like flexible working, parental leave, and sabbaticals.
