The Treasury Safeguarding Engineering Team is mission-critical, building scalable services to protect customer funds as we expand into new markets and products. You'll tackle exciting challenges like high-volume data processing, performance optimisation, fault-tolerant systems, and deep treasury domain expertise while collaborating across Engineering, Analytics, and business teams like Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Risk. In this Staff Software Engineer role, you'll develop real-time systems and controls compliant with global regulations, prioritising customer safety and business growth. With a strong product mindset, ownership, and technical excellence in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and databases, you'll drive impactful projects end-to-end. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable and reliable services for safeguarding customer funds at global scale
  • Build systems, processes and controls to manage financial and operational risks in real time
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations across global markets
  • Handle high data volumes, fight performance bottlenecks and implement fault-tolerant solutions
  • Deep dive into finance and treasury domain challenges
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Analytics, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Risk & Controls teams
  • Advocate best coding practices, continuous delivery and code reviews
  • Prioritise and deliver incremental value through data-driven decisions

  • Sense of ownership and great communication skills to drive projects across teams
  • Ability to work independently while being a good team player with frequent cross-team collaboration
