Treasury Banking Manager

We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Treasury Banking Manager to lead our Banking team within the Treasury function, maintaining and growing key banking relationships for FX, safeguarding, investments, liquidity, and corporate Treasury needs. As the key link between Wise Treasury and core banking partners, you’ll ensure optimal infrastructure and commercial terms to fuel our growth. You’ll manage the portfolio of Treasury counterparties including Tier 1 banks and liquidity providers, lead commercial optimisations and service reviews, oversee onboarding and maintenance, act as primary liaison, drive operational efficiencies, handle safeguarding compliance, mentor a small team, and spearhead process improvements. With over 5 years in Treasury or banking relationships, you’ll bring technical expertise, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Wise’s relationships with Treasury-specific counterparties including global Tier 1 banks, FX liquidity providers, Money Market Fund providers, custodians and fixed-income trading counterparties
  • Lead regular service reviews and commercial discussions to monitor wallet share across Treasury products and ensure competitive pricing and optimal service levels
  • Oversee onboarding of new Treasury counterparties (ISDAs, custody, trading limits) and manage ongoing maintenance including KYC refreshes and due diligence
  • Act as primary point of contact for external Treasury partners and coordinate with internal Product or Banking & Expansion teams
  • Work with Treasury Operations and Engineering teams to resolve escalations, improve settlement flows, and remove friction from banking infrastructure
  • Manage safeguarding accounts network for regulatory compliance ensuring proper audits, maintenance, and diversification
  • Lead and mentor a team of two Banking Associates, helping prioritise workload and develop commercial skills
  • Identify and assist with projects to automate or streamline manual processes in banking management

Required Qualifications

  • Over 5 years experience working within Banking relationships, Treasury function or Transaction Banking environment
  • Understanding of specific Treasury desk needs including FX setups, MM deposits, and liquidity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing global Tier 1 banks and FX liquidity providers
  • Background in safeguarding accounts and regulatory compliance
  • People management experience leading small teams
