UX Research Intern

Location: Global

About the Role

Join Wise's award-winning Design & Research team as a UX Research Intern in our 10-week paid programme, starting June 2026 in London. You'll tackle real customer problems, build deep empathy through qualitative and quantitative research, and collaborate with designers, researchers, and cross-functional teams to advance our mission of money without borders. Matched with a Design sponsor, you'll define project scopes, hone your craft, and create a portfolio case study while gaining exposure to Wise's global operations. We're seeking rising stars graduating in 2027 or self-taught career-switchers with foundational research skills, curiosity about people, and the ability to plan and analyze projects end-to-end. No tech experience required—just strong human-centered research instincts and proactive problem-solving. Work in-person at our vibrant new HQ near Liverpool Street, connect with influential Wisers, and leave with mentorship, networks, and real impact. Key Responsibilities

  • Get to know Wise customers and build empathy for their needs
  • Hone and flex UX research craft skills in a collaborative environment
  • Collaborate with sponsor, Wisers, and fellow interns on cross-functional projects
  • Help define the scope of real customer projects
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Plan research, pick methodologies, and approach data analysis
  • Share key insights, learnings, and impact of work
  • Develop a refined case study for future interviews

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate in Summer 2027 OR self-taught switching to Design
  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
  • Available for 10-week internship from 22nd June 2026 to 28th August 2026
  • Able to be in person most of the time at new HQ north of Liverpool Street Station

Preferred Qualifications

  • From an under-represented demographic
