- Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
- Make diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients.
- Obtain, compile, and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes, and results of physical examination utilizing the Meditech EMR.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
- Prescribe therapy or medication – electronically when available.
- Educate, instruct, and coordinate activities with the medical assistant(s) as needed during the care and treatment of patients.
- Provide emergency support following established policies and procedures.
- Communicate with staff, medical staff, and administration in support of operations.
