The minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, National Registry of AEMTs Emergency Medical Technician certification, West Virginia Office of EMS AEMT Certification, a valid Driver’s License, and successful completion of required NIMS courses.
While not required, 2 or more years of experience as a field provider at the AEMT level is preferred.
You will need to obtain ITLS or PHTLS certification and PEPP, PALS, or EPC certification within 6 months of hire.
This is a full-time position, and the specific working hours may vary depending on scheduling needs.
AEMTs are required to wear a provided uniform while on duty.
Overtime opportunities may be available depending on staffing needs and call volume.
