  • Set up suction devices.
  • Switch out anesthesia machine tanks and recording paper when needed.
  • Confirm anesthesia equipment is available for CRNA/resident/MD, including power/gas sources & electrical cords.
  • Notify Biomed & hands-on provider of concerns related to equipment & patient safety (i.e. loose sockets).
  • Ensure anesthesia equipment is properly cleaned prior to patient care & appropriately connected to emergency power outlets.
  • Provide Anesthesia support during all emergency situations (difficult intubation, latex allergy patient episodes, cardiac crisis, malignant hyperthermia, etc.) and routine case turnover including anesthesia post case cleaning.
  • Terminally clean and dust anesthesia equipment and prepare for next day use.
  • Anticipate anesthesia requirements.

  • Ensure malignant hyperthermia supplies are available in assigned location.
  • Clean up hazardous spills ensuring SDS sheets are followed.
  • Complete required incident documentation.
  • Set up disposable supplies and assist with all therapeutic pain management applications (Blocks, Bier Blocks, Stellate Ganglion Blocks, Epidural Blocks, Intercostal Blocks, Trigger Point Blocks, etc.).
  • Set up suction devices.
  • Switch out anesthesia machine tanks and recording paper when needed.
  • Confirm anesthesia equipment is available for CRNA/resident/MD, including power/gas sources & electrical cords.
  • Notify Biomed & hands-on provider of concerns related to equipment & patient safety (i.e. loose sockets).
  • Ensure anesthesia equipment is properly cleaned prior to patient care & appropriately connected to emergency power outlets.
  • Provide Anesthesia support during all emergency situations (difficult intubation, latex allergy patient episodes, cardiac crisis, malignant hyperthermia, etc.) and routine case turnover including anesthesia post case cleaning.
  • Terminally clean and dust anesthesia equipment and prepare for next day use.
  • Anticipate anesthesia requirements.
