The minimum qualifications include graduation from a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Assistant program, certification as a Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) by NBSTSA, certification as a Surgical Technician, BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.
The preferred qualification is 5 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.
The physical requirements include the ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform normal rotation. The position requires the ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and/or 10 lbs constantly. The employee must be able to stand and walk for an 8 to 10 hour shift.
The working environment is a hospital clinical setting.
Required skills and abilities include demonstrated quality outcomes, computer literacy, organizational skills, and team development.
The scheduled weekly hours are 40.
This position is non-exempt.
The cost center is 8470 BMC Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery.
