The minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire, and current National Certification as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
While not required, one (1) year of healthcare experience is preferred.
The work environment involves working closely with others, potentially working protracted or irregular hours, and exposure to biohazards and infectious diseases. The role may also require working with hands in water and traveling between facilities.
The position requires medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly. The ability to bend, stoop, reach, and be capable of normal rotation, standing, and walking for an 8-12 hour shift is also required.
Essential skills include effective communication with staff and patients, adaptability to changing environments, proficiency in using and learning software applications, organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
