Clinic LPN - Urgent Care - PRN at WVU Medicine: Join Our Team!

Are you a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) looking for a rewarding career opportunity in a fast-paced urgent care setting? In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient medical office setting. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with examinations and procedures, and provide emotional support to patients and their families. You will also play a crucial role in gathering patient information, screening patients for chief complaints, and documenting findings in the patient's medical record.

A Day in the Life of a Clinic LPN

Your day will begin with a review of the patient schedule and preparation of the examination rooms. You will greet patients, take their vital signs, and obtain a brief medical history. You will then escort patients to the examination room and assist the physician or registered nurse with any necessary procedures. After the examination, you will administer medications as prescribed, provide patient education, and document all care provided in the patient's electronic health record.
