  • Obtaining and evaluating diet history information for nutritional significance (appetite, intake, allergies, intolerances, chewing/swallowing difficulties, feeding independence, supplements, eating patterns, food preferences, daily intake)
  • Completing physician-ordered consults and instructions according to standards of care and documenting in the medical record
  • Contacting the physician regarding any concerns or recommendations
  • Documenting NPO/Clear Liquid notes by day five and following up every two days until nutrition is provided (unless contraindicated)
