You'll assist physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures, providing support and ensuring patient comfort. Other tasks may include scheduling appointments, managing referrals, educating patients on follow-up care, and maintaining quality control logs for medical equipment.
Throughout the day, you'll be interacting with patients, providing compassionate care and addressing their concerns. The minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, current National Certification as a CMA, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
One (1) year of healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
The physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly. You must also be able to bend, stoop, reach, and stand/walk for an 8-12 hour shift.
The working environment involves working closely with others, potential for protracted or irregular hours, exposure to biohazards and infectious diseases, and working with hands in water. Travel between facilities may be required.
