Dietitian for Bariatric Clinic at WVU Medicine

Role Overview

WVU Medicine is seeking a dedicated and passionate Dietitian to join our Bariatric Clinic team at the Dorothy A. McCormack Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to a diverse patient population, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The Dietitian will be responsible for conducting thorough nutrition assessments, developing individualized care plans, and providing ongoing education and support to patients and their families. In addition, you will contribute to the improvement of food service and quality care within the department.

A Day in the Life

As a Dietitian in our Bariatric Clinic, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Completing physician-ordered consults and instructions according to established standards of care.
  • Documenting patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Contacting physicians regarding any concerns or recommendations related to patient care.
  • Documenting NPO/Clear Liquid notes and following up until nutrition is provided, unless contraindicated.
