WVU Medicine is seeking a dedicated and passionate Dietitian to join our Bariatric Clinic team at the Dorothy A. McCormack Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to a diverse patient population, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. As a vital member of our medical team, you will play a crucial role in improving the health and well-being of our patients undergoing bariatric surgery and related treatments.
The Dietitian will be responsible for conducting thorough nutrition assessments, developing individualized care plans, and providing ongoing education and support to patients and their families. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care. In addition, you will contribute to the improvement of food service and quality care within the department.

The minimum qualifications include being a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietician Nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) and possessing current licensure as required by the West Virginia Board of Licensed Dietitians. A state criminal background check and federal background check (if applicable) are also required.
While not required, one (1) year of clinical experience is preferred.
The core duties include providing medical nutrition therapy, completing physician-ordered consults, documenting patient information, calculating calorie counts, and developing nutrition education plans, among other responsibilities.
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the clinic.
The dress code is professional attire, including scrubs or business casual clothing.
