The minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred qualifications include certification as a West Virginia Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic or applicable state licensure, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, and two years of college in a related field or two years of experience in an Emergency Department or pre-hospital setting.
Core duties include observing and reporting patient conditions, assisting with patient care, recording vital signs, collecting specimens, maintaining a clean environment, and performing various tests and procedures.
The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move patients, and perform repetitive tasks. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
While prior experience is preferred, it is not always required. We encourage individuals with a strong interest in patient care and a willingness to learn to apply.
