You'll answer incoming requests for inter-facility transports, gathering crucial patient information and determining the appropriate mode of transport – ground or air ambulance. You’ll utilize the CAD system to identify the closest and most suitable resource, dispatch the team, and maintain constant communication throughout the transport. You will meticulously document every step of the process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. You'll also coordinate with receiving hospitals, providing updates on patient arrival times. Throughout the day, you'll need to remain calm under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and work seamlessly with other dispatchers and EMS personnel.
